WHAT THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO SEE: THE JACKO AUTOPSY PIX

The shocking untold story of the MICHAEL JACKSON autopsy photos.

The shockingly graphic pictures were taken in connection with the 50-year-old superstar's autopsy after his drug-related death last June, and Internet sites are desperate to publish them, a source close to the investigation told The ENQUIRER.

The Los Angeles Police Department and the L.A. District Attorney's office have custody of the multiple images, whose existence was revealed in the coroner's report of Jackson's death.

"Some of the edgier Internet sites run by foreign operators are attempting to secure the photos through unauthorized release - with talk that the pictures could be worth upward of $5 million!" the source told The ENQUIRER.

"There are genuine fears the pictures could be leaked or that computer hackers could get to them - and the LAPD and DA's office are taking extreme preventive measures to keep them secure."

Authorities even consulted the FBI about transferring the images to an encoded disk, said the source.

"The disk would require multiple verifications before the pictures could be downloaded and viewed," the source divulged.

"But Michael's distraught family knows that some foreign factions and Web sites will still try to get the pictures. Publishing these awful images would have a frightful and lasting impact on Michael's children, and that's why every effort is being made to safeguard the photos."

For ALL the shocking details pick up The ENQUIRER still on sale.
